    Two historic venues, one magical night. A private evening like no other!

    Step behind the curtain and into a world of mystery and magic. On May 15, 2025, Preserve Omaha and the Omaha Magical Society invite you to a once-in-a-lifetime evening that will surprise, delight, and enchant. Join us for this extraordinary event: a private tour of the Abbott House, built and owned by one of history's most legendary magicians, Professor David P. Abbott. Step inside and back in time where Houdini himself was mesmerized and mystified by Abbott's illusions. Never before open to the public, guests will experience the home’s stunning preservation, its magical legacy, and even some secrets hidden within its walls.

    The magic doesn't stop there! Continue to be spellbound at the beautifully restored Hispanic Art Center of Omaha (formerly the beloved Emmy Gifford Children's Theater). Guests will enjoy signature cocktails, live illusions, and up-close magic. Make sure to dress to enchant: cocktail attire, magical flair, vintage style—this is your chance to be part of the show.

    A ticket to this event isn’t just a night of entertainment—it’s a journey into Omaha’s past, filled with mystery, storytelling, and surprises. Expect the unexpected: passwords, riddles, and maybe even a secret handshake required for entry. 

    Your ticket grants you access to the Abbott House for your selected tour time. Please join us at the Hispanic Art Center before and after your tour for the remainder of this incredible event!

    Proceeds support Preserve Omaha and the Omaha Magical Society, two organizations devoted to protecting the wonders of the past.

    Nonmembers: Not yet a member? Your ticket unlocks a full year of membership to Preserve Omaha! Select the 'Nonmembers' ticket at checkout.

PresFest is back and better than ever!

Join us for our FREE annual community event at Joslyn Castle on May 19, 12-5, to enjoy a fun day filled with activities, food trucks, a beer garden, demonstrations, entertainment, walking and trolley tours of the neighborhood, and more.

Businesses, nonprofits, artists, neighborhood associations, and more that keep preservation in mind will be featured throughout the Joslyn Castle & Gardens!
